About Brasilia Airport
Brasilia International Airport is located seven miles southwest of Brasilia, Brazil. Its formal name is Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport, being named after a former president of Brazil. Brasilia International Airport is the third largest and one of Brazil’s most modern airports. The airport handles domestic and international flights connecting major cities around the world.
The terminal, which has three levels, can handle more than 11 million passengers a year. The second level features a mall, four cinemas and a panoramic viewing deck. There are ranges of services in this modern facility including banks, a foreign exchange bureau, ATMs, a post office and a travel agency. For dining and entertainment, the airport features bars, restaurants, and several 24-hour snack bars. Shoppers can choose from 136 shops located within the airport.
Transportation between terminals is provided by a shuttle service. Buses, minibuses and taxis are available outside the terminal building to take passengers into the city. Short and long-term parking is available. Car rental agencies are conveniently located within the terminal on the ground level.
